Apocalypse What Is It?

What Is Apocalypse:

1.Apocalypse (Abbr. Apoc.) Bible. The Book of Revelation.
2.Any of a number of anonymous Jewish or Christian texts from around the
second century B.C. to the second century A.D. containing prophetic or
symbolic visions, especially of the imminent destruction of the world
and the salvation of the righteous.
3.Great or total devastation; doom: the apocalypse of nuclear war.
4.A prophetic disclosure; a revelation.

The Greek word "apocalypse"
is best translated as "revelation".
The word apocalypse is also used as the name of a
genre of literature that was
popular among Jews between 200 BCE (BC) and 100 CE (AD).
This genre was usually written under a pseudonym,
and had a rich picture language.
It was exclusively Jewish literature written
by people who lived within the borders of ancient Israel.

The word Apocalypse can also refer to the
"Revelation of Jesus Christ"
given to John, which is the last book in the Christian Bible.
This book is a mixture of the genres that included letters, apocalypse and prophesy.
It is usually interpreted to describe the last days.
Even though it is possible to interpret it in many different ways.
But only one way would be the correct why, or the truth.

In many Western religious traditions, the period of catastrophic upheaval
expected to occur just before the end of the world,
when God will come to sit in judgment on humankind.

The belief that the world will come to a violent and cataclysmic end
exists in Judaism and Christianity as well as in Zoroastrianism.
Several of the prophetic works of the Hebrew Scriptures,
Notably the book of Daniel, includes visions of the apocalypse.
The book of Revelation (or Apocalypse)
gives us a dark, and dramatic picture of the end of time.
When the wicked will be punished and the good will triumph through God's intervention.
Only those who know
Jesus Christ as there
Lord and personal savor will be saved.

You must be born again!

The approach of the
Last Days
is expected to be marked by;
Plagues, and other natural disasters,
along with signs in the heavens.
Today apocalyptic themes are emphasized
by various religious groups (e.g., fundamentalist Christians)
and have also been taken up by science-fiction writers.

Keep your eyes open to the economy
Some how the world will go cashless;
A Mark will come out!
You will not be able to
buy or sell unless you take this mark.

There will be more Eartquakes! More Wars!
read Matthew chapter 24:

Revelation chapter 13: verses 16-17:
16. And he cause all, both small and great,
rich and poor, free and bond,
to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17. And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark,
or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

There is hope! It is not Gods will that anyone should perish.
2Peter chapter 3:verse 9.
9.The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Romans chapter 10:verses 9 to 13;
9. That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God had raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
10. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness;

and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11. For the scripture say, Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.
12. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
